After discovering water infiltration through one of the windows in our finished basement, I knew I couldn't afford to ignore it and "hope for the best." My family and I have severe allergies (plus asthma), and we have multiple pets that can suffer from poor air quality, too. Our first call was to Megan at Michigan Mold Team, knowing what a stellar experience we've always had working with her team at Hearth & Home. She and Adam showed up the very next day! They immediately cordoned off the area and carefully removed all of the drywall, insulation, tack strips, and rubber padding that were saturated. After extensive baseline air quality testing, Megan returned the following day to perform a thorough remediation and warned us to avoid the area, due to our respiratory sensitivities. Once we had the "all clear," Adam went to work meticulously restoring things to their original state. Frankly, the walls look better now than they did prior to the flooding! I can't recommend Michigan Mold Team highly enough - their integrity is beyond reproach, and the quality of their work is outstanding. Thank you again, Megan and Adam, for giving us peace of mind and not cutting corners on such a crucial health concern!

We reached out to a handful of mold companies including some of the big names in mold. After talking with Megan at Michigan Mold Team we cut everyone else off. She was insightful, knowledgeable and overall kind. Not once did she lead with fear, rather with a calm and reassuring nature. If you are thinking about going with a big name company, I can promise you it is the wrong choice.
